Did the warm summer months dry your skin out? Get your skin back to its best self…
Here at The Vintage Cosmetic Company we all agree there’s no time quite like summer time – the evenings are longer, the days are warmer and nothing makes everyone feel like a total beach babe quite like being able to throw on a floaty dress and favourite pair of sandals before heading out into the sunshine.
We know the sun does wonders for your skin because vitamin D is essential for skin cell growth and repair. However, as much as we love to catch some ‘rays, too much sunshine can have the opposite aging effect, and while we’ve all been guilty of getting sunburnt at least once its really important to look after yourself in the heat. You may not realise, but even if you aren’t getting burnt, too much sun exposure can dry out and damage your skin, which is why dermatologists often recommend wearing sun cream or foundation with an SPF Factor in all year round!
Before you even begin to start your skin rejuvenating process you’ll need to remove your make-up - just add water to our magic Make-up Removing Cloths and gently scrub your face in circular motions until your skin is squeaky-clean.
Next, treat your face to some pampering – heat our Gel Bead Eye Mask, or Gel Bead Face Mask accordingly until warm (always follow the instructions on the packaging) and place on your face to help your skin and eyes relax and open your pores.
If you’ve fallen victim to the red nose club this year, or simply feel like you need to restore your skins glow our Exfoliating Face and Body Sponges are an absolute must have – just add water and your favourite cleanser and these Sponges will take care of the rest by gently removing dead skin cells and leaving glowing skin from top to toe.
Our pretty in pink Bath Pillow, polka dot Hair Turban and Floral Shower Cap also make excellent additions to any cleansing routine and add a touch of vintage glamour to any bathroom!
